Daniel Cain, D.O.

Cain PictureDr. Daniel Cain joined the Twin Springs Medical Center team in 2007; he also has a practice in Massillon. Daniel Cain D.O. is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.

Dr. Cain provides all the benefits of traditional obstetric and gynecologic care, while treating the patient as a whole person, an approach characteristic of the osteopathic tradition of medicine. He also offers hands-on manipulation to help relieve muscle and joint pain (also called Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine – OMM).

Dr. Cain is also able to provide his patients with the newest minimally invasive surgery using modern surgical robotics. These techniques offer much faster healing times and less pain than older surgical methods.

Jessica George, MSN, CNM

George PictureJessica George, MSN, CNM, has lived in Ohio most of her life, graduating from Marietta Senior High School in 1991. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology and was on the Dean’s List at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) in 1995, participating in philanthropic events for the women’s fraternity Zeta Tau Alpha, whose national philanthropy is breast cancer education and awareness. At Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio), she earned her Master of Science of Nursing with a specialty in Nurse-Midwifery, gaining membership in the nursing honorary society Sigma Theta Tau and earning a Marietta Business and Professional Women’s Scholarship.

Jessica has been working as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) in Ohio since 1999, providing care for women throughout their lives, including well-woman care, family planning, preconception care, care during pregnancy / labor / birth / postpartum, menopausal care, and diagnosis and treatment of many common problems. She provides care that focuses on the specific needs of each woman, offers a variety of options, and avoids unnecessary intervention. She emphasizes health promotion, education, and disease prevention. You will be encouraged to ask questions and be given plenty of time for answers. CNMs offer many high-quality healthcare services for women, including a complete history and thorough and gentle examination. CNMs can prescribe most common medications. If you were to develop a medical condition requiring more specialized treatment, you would be referred to a specialist as needed. Years of education, experience, and continuing education enable CNMs to provide an effective and caring approach to all aspects of women’s health care. Jessica has precepted nurse practitioner and nurse-midwife students for University of Cincinnati and Frontier Nursing University. She is on staff at the Mount Eaton Care Center and Aultman Orrville Hospital, and sees patients in two locations: Twin Springs Medical Center in Kidron and Twin Springs OB-GYN in Massillon.

Jessica is married to Tony and they have a son, Miller, born in 2012, who keeps them very busy. They have a dog, Jack, and two cats, Chloe and Frankie, all of whom are rescues. She enjoys crafts, especially knitting and crocheting. With special interest in breast cancer awareness, Jessica has participated in the Breast Cancer 3-Day three times, walking 60 miles each time to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Jessica is a yearly participant in Relay for Life on her goddaughter’s team, Bridget’s Brigade; Bridget is a brave little girl who is a survivor of Pleuropulmonary Blastoma. Jessica’s interests also include the Edna Adan University Hospital in Somaliland, Africa where Edna Adan built a much-needed maternity hospital, and is busy training midwives and fighting female genital mutilation.
